Besides the creative Wynn Sign (which I highlighted in another video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEorLYuwns0&fmt=18 ), here are two more things I enjoy in the public areas of The Wynn Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas.

The first is the artificial, cascading, curtain type waterfall at the three acre Lake of Dreams. Of all the man-made waterfalls I’ve seen, this is my favorite. When The Wynn first opened a few years ago, there were several human sculptures in the pool, all of which were gazing towards the large wall of water. The overall effect of the human figures and the waterfall was very dramatic. I have no idea why, as of my latest visit, The Wynn has decided to remove all but one of the sculptures, but this lake and waterfall are still beautiful in the stark simplicity of this vista. (The photo at the beginning of this video, which was taken on a previous visit, shows two of the sculptures.)

What makes this lake and waterfall even more distinctive, is that at nighttime, the tranquil mood of the lake and waterfall is dramatically transformed, as its used as the backdrop for flashy audio visual presentations such as the one shown in this YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTHRLsu2kI8&fmt=18

The second area shown in this video is an arbor type walkway in The Wynn that is beautiful with the added use of hundreds of small lights illuminating the trees.

Stephen Alan Wynn (nació el 27 de enero, 1942 en New Haven, Connecticut) es un empresario estadounidense de bienes y raíces y casino quien es acreditado por haber ayudado al dramático resurgimiento y la expansión del Strip de Las Vegas en Las Vegas, Nevada en la década de los años 1990. Sus empresas renovaron o construyeron algunos de los resorts más conocidos en Las Vegas como el Golden Nugget, The Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio, y el hotel Wynn.

Mirage Resorts fue vendido a MGM Grand Inc. por $6.6 mil millones en junio de 2000 para formar al MGM Mirage. Con el dinero que Steve hizo en ese trato, y con su habilidad para incrementar y financiar ese dinero, Wynn construyó un nuevo resort, el más caro a la fecha, el Wynn Las Vegas, en la cual abrió en el antiguo terreno del hotel Desert Inn el 28 de abril, 2005. Wynn Las Vegas es propiedad y operado por Wynn Resorts Limited, de la cual Wynn es el presidente y director ejecutivo. Wynn se convirtió en un billonario en 2004, cuando su riqueza dobló los $1.3 mil millones.

Wynn exitosamente ofertó uno de las tres concesiones de juegos que habían abierto en Macau, una Región administrativa especial de China, en la cual tiene una larga historia en los juegos de azar y es el mercado de juegos mAs grande en el mundo traspasando a Las Vegas en 2006.[2] Esta propiedad, es mejor conocida como Wynn Macau, abrió el 5 de septiembre de 2006.
